Kilimanjaro Expedition
INFINITY

When was the last time you did something that seemed impossible?

Climb to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro and the highest point in Africa, at 5,895 metres altitude. Watch the sunrise over an entire continent, with glaciers shining all around you. A moment etched forever.

The expedition is designed and led by Pedro Queirós, who has stood at the top of the world and returned to share what he learned. We've chosen the Lemosho Route, one of the most scenic and least crowded on the mountain, with more days of ascent for gradual and safe acclimatisation.

"It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves."

Sir Edmund Hillary

On April 25, 2015, little Simran felt the earth shake in Nepal. She saw her village being destroyed in a matter of seconds, but she never lost hope. This book is part of the National Reading Plan in Portugal, and helps young people to reflect on the themes of volunteering, solidarity and what to do in the event of an earthquake.

In January 2017, Pedro Queirós unintentionally embarked on what would be his first Humanitarian Adventure: 1,200 kilometres on foot across India from the door of the Taj Mahal in Agra to the gates of Camp Hope in Kathmandu. A journey through the deepest roots of consciousness and ultimately, what defines the human being: pain, freedom and the desire to help others.

The courage to make a difference lies at the heart of being human. Portuguese Pedro Queirós and Lourenço Macedo Santos were caught up in the earthquake that destroyed Nepal on April 25, 2015, but instead of leaving the country, they decided to stay and help the people affected by the tragedy, in a mission on the ground that became known as Obrigado Portugal, nós também somos Nepal. This book, “Vocês voltam amanhã?”, has a foreword written by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres.
